Khayelitsha Organisations to Stage Picket for Improved Access to Justice and Safety

The Social Justice Coalition (SJC), Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), Equal Education (EE), Free Gender, AIDS Legal Network, Luleka Lisizwe and Triangle Project are community-based organisations located in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. Our organisations seek to address wide-ranging problems faced by our members – from inadequate sanitation and education, to HIV/TB and homophobia.

TRIANGLE PROJECT COMMENDS SAPS FOR THE REARREST OF ACCUSED IN ZOLISWA NKONYANA MURDER TRIAL

Triangle Project commends the South African Police Services for their investigative work in locating and arresting Sicelo Mase, Zolile Kobese, Sabelo Yekiso and Mfundo Kulani within four days of their escape from the holding cells of Khayelitsha Magistrates Court.

It has been four long years since the trial of nine men accused of murdering Zoliswa Nkonyana began.  Zoliswa was murdered by a gang of men on the 26th February 2006, because she was a lesbian.
